A Glimpse of Hope's Life

We are blessed to have been provided with pictures of Hope's life inside the orphanage. These pictures are priceless as they include her best friends. They are such a part of her life, and as long as she can still speak Chinese, we will allow her to call back and talk to them.
Our biggest prayer is that all of these kids would find there way into families of their own.
These are the precious younger children that Hope helped to care for. We sent money for them to buy her a cake to share with friends so they could all celebrate together before Hope left. When the staff threw her party they decided to gather together all the children who had families coming for them. Each of these precious children will soon have a family.
However, only one of these is getting the chance of a family. The other three will be left behind. As of now, no one is coming for them. No one is willing to call them their son. Because they are older and have special needs, they are left behind.
This picture breaks my heart because here are these precious children who all dream of a family looking at our photo album. Hope has the joy in this picture of knowing that she was chosen. She gets to see pictures of us, our home, her room, our vacations, and our pets. The other children get continue to dream of those things. Do you have room in your heart and your home for one of these precious children? If you feel God pulling at your heart, then please answer the call.

Hey! Let me try again! ;0)

It is so good to see your updates! Your blog has been such an encouragement to me. We just received our LID last week, and we so look forward to having our little man in our arms!

Love in Christ,

I've loved following your blog. So good to see your family together at home. Any chance you know the name of the boy in the white shirt in the cake picture? You can not see his whole face but we are wondering if it might be our son Pan Fei.

Hope can't see his face either, so she doesn't know who it is. I checked all three of my birthday pictures and his face is covered in all of them. Sorry :(

That is such a shame. I adopted an older (5 - not really older) son and I am one happy Mom!! Both my children are amazing!! My DD was home in March 06 (Forever Family Day was 2/20/06 in NanChang) You have beautiful children all of them!!

Just came over from RQ! Oh my word! Tears!!!

If anyone reading wonders about adopting an older child, an older son, please send them my way. We brought home our sons, 10 and 5, this summer. They are such a blessing. They both have medical needs as well, but they are so much more than a need. We all needed them!

Thank you for sharing so beautifully about some left behind.

Your children are beautiful! I cracked up at your 3 little pigs and 1 bad wolf! that was too funny!
